Jeanette Alvarez Hart

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR: Jeanette (Alvarez) Hart holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the joint University of Kentucky and University of Louisville Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program and a Project Management Certification from the University of Kentucky. Currently, she serves as the Public Health Accreditation & Quality Manager at the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department. Rising through seven progressive roles, Jeanette now oversees accreditation, policy, quality improvement, Community Health Improvement Plans (CHIP), Community Health Assessments (CHA), and community engagement. Known for strategic decision-making and operational enhancements, Jeanette also represents her department at state and national levels, participating actively in associations such as the American Public Health Association (APHA), National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), Kentucky Public Health Association (KPHA), and Kentucky Department for Public Health’s Kentucky Data and Health Analytics (KDHA).
Jeanette’s extensive community engagement includes graduating from Commerce Lexington’s Leadership Class (2023-2024), contributing to the Adopt a Park initiative, and participating in the Public Health & Primary Care (PHPC) Leadership Institute (2024-2025). She’s deeply committed to equity through involvement in the Fayette County School Board Equity Council Committee and serves on the Mayor’s International Affairs Advisory Commission (MIAAC). Additionally, she’s a founding member of the Arts and Health Alliance of Central Kentucky.
Living in Lexington with her family, Jeanette actively participates in educational initiatives, emphasizing family well-being, public health advancement, and collaborative community solutions.
